Dual Ball Valve Style Plunger Pumps

Dual ball valve sludge pump

What is a Dual Ball Valve Plunger Pump?

When pumping standard municipal sludge up to 8% solids, single ball valve plunger pumps are normally used. However, when pumping liquid with higher solid and debris concentration, the dual ball valve is recommended. Having two ball valves in series ensures that if debris were to momentarily holdup one of the ball valve from closing, the secondary ball would be a back-up and seal in its place. This prevents any missed strokes and ensures that the volumetric flow efficiency remains constant during the full pump cycle
