FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY - December 9, 2007 – Wastecorp is pleased to introduce the new Rub-R-Plas® products from scrap tires and recycled plastics information source available on Wastecorp.com. The web component is designed to focus on this revolutionary patented process which makes products like automotive bumpers, interior molds, plastic bins, street signs and much more from waste tires and recycled plastics.
“As an eco-friendly product visionary, Wastecorp first patented Rub-R-Plas® in the mid 1990’s to reduce the health and ecological burdens of scrap tires and waste plastics on communities” says Dan Starr Marketing and Communications Manager. “We have seen tremendous interest from automobile manufacturers and multinational plastics companies from around the world.”
According to the EPA, Americans throw away as garbage over 180 million tons of solid waste each year. About 80% of this waste is buried in our landfills where toxins seep into the water table; 10% a year is incinerated; and less than 10% of solid waste is recycled.
Industry analysts predict that within 4 years, recycling will increase from under 10% today to well over 40%. Ten years ago there were approximately 18,000 landfills; today there are less than 5,000. Of these, 80% are almost full.
At Wastecorp we have given special attention to the broad definition and application, together with the scope of involvement of our process to plastics and tire recycling. It is a most exciting area of development in this industry. We are reviewing new and special product applications, as well as the direction for plastic materials (thermoset plastic) for, which there has not been an infrastructure to recycle or convert. We have successfully developed our process to deal with thermoset materials, as well as thermoplastics.
Various non-profit organizations predict that plastic will be recycled more than any other material in the years ahead. At the forefront of this niche business is the need for superior technology and recycling solutions, as well as addressing the inherent industrial and commercial scrap waste issues.
Over the past 15 years, extensive product research and development has enabled Wastecorp to help resolve the disposal of two major waste plastics that were destined for landfill: thermoset urethane and contaminated L.D.P.E (e.g. low-density polyethylene blown film). When coupled with our established Rub-R-Plas® patented process, Wastecorp achieves the unique position of being one of the few companies that has achieved this end: recycling PC/PI plastics and rubber. We are working to extend our vision and leadership with global automobile manufacturers and producers of plastics in joint ventures and licensing agreements.
Wastecorp is also active with government at the State, Provincial, Municipal and Federal levels, as well as other companies in developing superior products.
